We look back at Wednesday and the start of the WPGA pro-am season. The WPGA and the field was blessed with a terrific spring day and the first-class experience that Erin Hills Golf Course offers.

The TaylorMade Golf Pro-Am sold out in record time, as twenty-six professionals filled up the ...event in under two minutes.

Coming out on top in the team game was the Golf Galaxy & Butte des Morts Country Club foursome of Brian Brodell, Paul Kundinger, John Lukas and Nick Vangrinsven. They were able to post a very impressive 21-under-par 123 in the one net, one gross best ball format. The foursome combined to make 11 natural birdies and one eagle.

In the low pro game, Steven Young of Whitnall Park GC would grab the top spot. His 6-under-par 66 would give him 42 stableford points. One clear of second place finisher and low senior professional, David Roesch.

A big thank you goes out to our event partners, TaylorMade Golf, American Family Insurance Championship and Tito's Handmade Vodka for helping to enhance the day. We'd also like to express our appreciation to everyone at Erin Hills Golf Course, for being a gracious host.

It has been a busy week, as we are playing catch up on some earlier action from Monday.

The Memorial Classic and Assistant Stroke & Match Play visited Washington County Golf Course for the kickoff of the 2024 individual slate of Wisconsin PGA events.

The annual stroke play ...events would again take place simultaneously, while being supported by the Wisconsin Golf Salesperson Association and ROLEX. All the while remembering and honoring the individuals that were connected to both organizations that we lost over the past year.

It certainly was another special day.

On the course the competition was tight. Each individual event would require a playoff to determine the victor.

In the Assistant Stroke Play, Drew Ringelstetter of Geneva National Resort and David Bach of Whistling Straits would each card 2-under-par 70s. Ringelstetter would however get the best of Bach in overtime as a clutch par would deliver him the win.

As for the Memorial Classic, Joe Leonard of The Oaks Golf Course and Michael Crowley of Morningstar Golfers Club would battle it out for the title. Their 4-under-par 68s were low on the day. Leonard would take down Crowley in extra holes to secure the win and get his season off to a good start.

A big thank you goes out to all the Wisconsin Golf Salesperson Association members that came out to support the day. The WPGA and its members greatly appreciate the partnership that we have with the WIGSA. We'd also like to thank ROLEX for their sponsorship of the day.

Lastly, we'd like to express our appreciation to Washington County Golf Course. The club always is a willing host and it is very noticeable.
